MAC Blush Of Youth beauty powder vrs Benefit Dandelion

Dupe Alert!
Last week as I was admiring the prettiness of the Rose Romance beauty powder I had just brought it struck me how familiar the colour looked to something I already have.
Benefit Dandelion.
My sister brought me this product years ago and although I used it a lot for the first year it has been pushed to the side over time

Here is what Benefit say about it.
"Start your day the "perk-me-up" way, and keep them guessing how you look so pretty this early in the morning. Dust on our soft, pink, perk-me-up powder for instant radiance and a youthful appearance. It's the perfect shade of pink that brightens everyone's complexion without looking powdery or chalky."

Side by side...Mac on left benefit on right
Hardly any difference at all.
The only differences I could spot were Dandelion is far more pigmented and Blush Of Youth ever so slightly less peachy and more pink.

So, Blush Of Youth now sits prettily on my dressing table and Dandelion sits prettily on my cheeks!
I'm quite happy about this as every time I ran my 109 over the beautiful embossed rose I winced.

  3. It's £22.50, So more expensive than the MAC one at £14.68 BUT I have had it for 3 years + and I am no where near hitting pan.
Also as it's way more pigmented you use much less, I had a lot of trouble trying to get Blush of youth to even show up on a swatch.

  4. Hi Sdyney!

Came across your blog when I was searching for reviews on Blush of Youth. I never would have thought that it's a dupe for Dandelion. Nice comparison you have over there!

  7. I wouldn't want to spoil the rose either! :)

I love the Benefit blushers/bronzers, I just wish they came in prettier packaging.
