Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation swatches and custom foundation mixing.

(img source weheartit)

Summer is coming and I don't know about you, but I find buying a ton of different foundations and concealers to match my skin tone as it changes with the seasons massively annoying.
My skin goes from nc15 ish in winter to around nc30/35 in summer.

Enter these babies!
I bought most of these from the Illamasqua sale on ASOS earlier this year and they were around £13ish as opposed to to £21.50 it usually is.
These are definitely full coverage and can attach to dry spots on your face something awful (even on my oily skin this happens) although I think that could be sorted out by using a good primer or exfoliating well. You only need the tiniest amount as they are highly pigmented and very creamy, I would say they are the foundation version of Sleek Pout Paints. Odd, but you will understand if you have tried both products.

Swatches.
Left to right.
140"For light to medium skin with golden undertones."210"For medium skin with neutral undertones." 320"For medium to dark skin with golden undertones."

100 "Pure white." 325"For dark skin with neutral undertones."

You may be wondering why I have 5, and that those dark shades seem a wee bit ambitious for an English summer, but these foundations are AMAZING at mixing.
I add a little (A LITTLE) of the appropriate colour to darken or lighten whatever my current foundation/concealer is and it works beautifully.
Their consistency is really perfect for it. You can change your foundation colour without changing your favourite foundation formula! (Mine would be Revlon Colorstay Combo/Oily)
Genius! And they will last forever!

Here's a very quick little mix a made by mixing 325, 100 and 140, so you can see what I mean.

As you can see these foundations are absolutely fantastic on their own.
Will definitely be buying some more.

Urban Decay gets NAKED again!

Hello beauts! Hope you're all well.
Today I got a nice surprise form the postman, No not an early valentines, even better than that!

Yum!
To the swatches! As I've come to expect from Urban Decay the shadows are highly pigmented and creamy, all but one. Foxy is absolutely awful. Terrible colour pay off and just a powdery, chalky mess to be honest.

Left to right
Foxy (hmmm), Half Baked, Booty Call and Chopper.

Left to right.
Tease, Snakebite, Suspect and Pistol.

Left to right.
Verve, YDK, Busted and Blackout. Black out is a matt black ala Carbon, but its caught some of the sparkles from the other eyeshadows.

The full size double sided brush is a nice addition.

We also get a mini Lip Junkie gloss in Naked, of course. Pretty colour and it smells yummy like peppermint. Tingly goodness!

Hope the swatches have been helpful if you are still undecided!
You definitely don't "need" this palette if you have the original but I would say it's different enough. I am a bit miffed they put Half baked in it. I mean really, it's in almost every palette. STOP IT!

Good afternoon beauty land!

GOSH holographic nail polish.

Hello you beauts!
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and new year.
Mine was not too brilliant as I was struck down with the lurgy that's going around at the moment.
Still managed to have a lovely time though!
Yesterday I went to superdrug on a holographic hunt and was lucky enough to not only nab the last bottle in stock, but it was half price too!

As you can see, in the bottle it really doesn't look tooo spesh,
just your average silver polish, but paint your nail and give it a few seconds and it turns into this!

It suggests on the bottle to use a base coat.
I didn't use a base coat and half of the polish had peeled off by the evening so I'm hoping with a base it will last a little longer.
I will forgive it it's horrendous staying power however, because it is just so bloomin amazing looking!

IN/OUT November!

IN!

My birthday!
I turned 22 on the 9th and had a beautiful meal with close friends
and family in Sarastro's in Covent Garden.
Can't even begin to describe what a magical place this is, I felt like I was in another world.
If you are ever anywhere near I suggest popping in, even if only to stare open mouthed at all the
amazing stuff and search all the hidden corners filled with books and old notes from people.
Truly stunning.

Throwing caution to the wind!
Spending far too much money in Superdrug. Such a nice guilt.

Feeling homey.
It was nice being back home in London for a few days and seeing much missed family and friends (and dogs!).
Did miss the sea though!

Falling in love with an object.
Balenciaga part time.

Metallic nail polish.
Can't. Get. Enough.

Dark lips.
YSL rouge volupte in forbidden burgundy is the lip of choice at the mo.

Smelling delish.
Getting A LOT of perfume for my birthday. Hello Flowerbomb.

Joining the real world of phones that do more than ..er phone.
My new bright pink nokia c3. lush!

Mittons.
The fingerless ones with the flip over mitton bit. Love.

Kisses.

Life generally being pretty damn good!

OUT!

Badman Hangovers
The two day hangover I had after drinking what seems like 70 bottles of rose
on my non family birthday night out in brighton was just delightful.

The bitter cold London weather at the moment!
I don't mind wrapping up, but come on! I don't want my lungs frozen just from breathing.

Chipped nail polish.
You annoy me. Sod off.

Overly massive bags
That I always end up (accidentally) bashing myself
or others with.. I need a handbag ASBO.

Winter perfume.
I know, I know, it's bloody cold and we should all be reaching
for our favourite "wintery" perfume, but in an attempt to prolong that summery feeling
I have been dousing my self in everything floral and fresh. which is odd in it'self
as I'm a warm and spicy perfume lover all year round usually.
D&G #3 L'imperatrice is a favourite right now

Annoying computer viruses.
Not being able to get into my blog.
That was a right bugger.

Trouble logging in

Hello gorgeous people!
I have not been able to access my blog for quite a while now, my google accounts page just wont let me log in, even though the password is right.
What I am having to do it change the password, while i'm singed in under the new password i can blog but as soon as i log out i have to go through the whole reset password thing again.
I don't really want to start a new blog and lose all of my content so if anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening or what I can do about it that would
be much appreciated!

Sorry if I've not got back to anyone, but I've only just figured out how to get back on.

Hope everyone is well and not having the lovely seasonal flu!

The Falsies vs Voluminous!

My eyelashes have been going through a very thin and lifeless stage at the moment
which has been quite depressing to say the least!
So to cheer myself up and try and encourage some much needed oomph into my lashes
I brought this!
It's on sale at Superdrug at the moment for £5.99.

This is not a proper review as I have not yet worn it out, but I thought I would do
a little comparison photo with everyones favourite, Loreal Voluminous!

Right eye - 3 coats Voluminous in carbon black

Left eye - 3 coats The Falsies in black..

I think the "full fringe" brush on The Falsies has done exactly what it said on the tin,
the outer and inner corners are much er...more there than with the Voluminous and it seems to have kept the curl better. I also think the black is slightly deeper.
So for now 1-0 to The Falsies

Hurrah!
